Description

Rugged chassis, spacious reverb.

The Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb offers 12 distinct shades of reverb. Choose from six reflectively diverse room sounds, two plate and two spring reverbs, modulation reverb, and echo. The assignable "Option" knob makes it possible to adjust nine different parameters: wet/dry mix, time (i.e. resonance), bass, treble, pre-delay, diffusion, output level, modulation rate, and modulation depth.

The Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb features a compact, durable cast aluminum housing, two user presets, and Multi-function in and out jacks compatible with Hot Hand, the Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal, or MIDI*. Use the Hot Hand Motion Sensor or the expression pedal for on-the-fly control over any of the nine adjustable parameters, or plug in a MIDI controller for external access to presets and parameters.

Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Source Audio SA225 Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb.

Features and functionality

  • The Source Audio Neuro app enables extensive pedal customization, but it requires a computer connection via mini USB for detailed parameter access, which can be cumbersome.

    Source

Software and compatibility

  • The Neuro app on mobile devices allows for easy pedal setup, but connecting multiple pedals via a USB hub on a computer often causes software instability.

    Source

User experience

  • A user noted that the Source Audio phaser struggles to achieve satisfactory univibe tones, and the chorus/flange effects may not appeal to everyone.

    Source
  • Some find the Source Audio pedals too digital sounding, with noticeable artifacts, which may not suit those preferring analog tones.

    Source

Comparisons

  • When using a mono rig, TC Electronic TonePrint pedals might be a more suitable alternative to Source Audio for simpler setups.

    Source
  • For a versatile setup without constant tweaking, a multi-effects unit like the Line 6 Helix LT may be more efficient than individual Source Audio pedals.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • The Source Audio C4 Synth is enjoyable but not considered a staple pedal like compressors or drive pedals for continuous use.
