This was and still is my first proper electric guitar. Has lasted well, I love the way it plays. I think Squier's are great sounding guitars at great prices, no need to shell out a grand when you can get something like this for a 1/4 of the price. The neck humbucker broke a few years ago from constant use/gigging, had it repaired, broke again, doesn't bother me :)
