    Source
  • Some players prefer the Corona for its ability to retain smoothness in the tone, especially when using punchy amps, avoiding the sharp top end that can occur with other buffered pedals.

    Source
  • Owners use the Corona Chorus in both clean and dirty signal paths, with some opting for a faux Leslie-style vibe using the La Pedale toneprint.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • An owner consistently uses the Corona with an acoustic dreadnought in a doom/post-rock/noise band setup, highlighting its capability to maintain core tone throughout complex effects chains.

    Source
  • The pedal is favored by musicians for both guitar and bass, indicating its versatility across different instruments.

    Source

Setup and maintenance

  • It's recommended to isolate the pedal in its own loop to avoid interference, especially when used with older or vintage pedals.

TC Electronic Corona review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The TC Electronic Corona Chorus is a standout pedal offering two distinct chorus flavors, complemented by the innovative TonePrint feature. This allows users to import custom sounds from renowned guitarists, making it a versatile option for varied sonic landscapes. The pedal's compact design, intuitive controls, and the ability to run on a 9V battery or DC adaptor add to its practical appeal. While it delivers lush, broad chorus effects akin to vintage models, the pedal's true value lies in its updateable nature, setting it apart from its competitors. With minimal drawbacks, the Corona is a well-priced, excellent addition to any guitarist's arsenal.

Good chorus, great Toneprints

This pedal has three modes to select from, one "normal" chorus (from what I heard an Emulation of the 80s TC Chorus/Flanger), a Tri-Chorus (pretty selfexplanatory) and Toneprint. Well the "stock" modes are pretty decent but didn't quite get me where I want to go (having a chorus which sounds good clean and with a lot of dirt in the signal chain -> Rat/Katzenkönig). The Toneprint mode was a good help with that. I was able to try out a lot of different prints from a ton of different artists, using the app it took no time to switch from one to another, because you can beam your sound to the pedal in no time (like three steps/seconds). You should turn your amp down or mute it, because the sound that occurs while beaming is pretty nasty. I stuck with the Brian May Chorus, because it was very warm and smooth with clean tone and got slightly into flanger territory when hit with the dirt pedals. With the "stock" modes one of these two things weren't as I wanted, they are good, but just didn't do both jobs the way I want them be done. The Toneprint option was what saved it from reselling, I wanted a chours which sounds good with cleans and distortion and which can take the place of my vintage analogue Boss chorus.

Most versatile and wonderful sounding chorus!

First thing first: If you are an analog-snob then you have to change your mindset before you put your hands on Corona chorus. Just because it's not BBD, it doesn't mean it can't do some great, lush, warm and vintage chorus tones. It does, and does it pretty damn good. The two built-in choruses are decent, but this pedal begins to shine in toneprint world. We have great simulations of Boss CE-2 and DC-2, great Andy's PGS double-chorus, and distortion-oriented Petrucci's and Scott Ian's choruses. If that is not enough, you can dive into the rest of toneprints or mess with editor to create your own voicings. Controls are very sensitive and responsive, stereo operation is a great feature, too. I also like the possibility of switching between true-bypass and buffer - comes in handy with some amps. All in all, great pedal!

Very Versatile Chorus Pedal

It is the most versatile chorus pedal I have ever come across.

The 4 tone knobs give you a variety of chorus tones, from the clean chorus sounds, to the crazy flangy extremes. The selector switch in the middle gives you the option of an analog chorus, tri-chorus, and toneprint.

Toneprint is the feature that allows you to connect this pedal to your computer via a USB cable. With it, you can download sound patches, or toneprints, into your pedal, and even create your own.

Much love

Tried a lot of chorus pedals when I was building my first board, went home with this and haven't been let down. My only critisism is how soft the button feels, I constantly worry I'm switching too hard, but no problems yet. The toneprint option allows complete versitilitiy and you can plug it in by USB to adjust all the parameters you like. Ideal, especially doing session work and you need a specific chorus sound.

Amazing chorus

This pedal is my personal favorite chorus pedal (I've tried a few). It has shimmery lush tones that add a magical sort of sound to guitar parts, sometimes even whimsical. The knobs are fairly straightforward and easy to use to create all sots of interesting sounds. I use it often

onetrickpony

Good for about anything you throw at it.

The Corona is a great pedal on its own. The Toneprint feature is what makes the pedal standout against comparable pedals in this price range. Using the Toneprint via computer really dials in the sound you want with minimal effort.

By far the BEST

This is the best chorus pedal out there, period. I am not the only one who thinks this. It has some cool features, plus one I am very much on love with... the stereo ins & outs! I can use this with a stereo delay for full imagine. Eric Johnson to David Gilmour, Andy Summers to heavier players. If you occasionally like to fire up 2 AC30s and want a pure stereo delay + a pure stereo chorus all of the way, this is a huge bonus!

Gorgeous chorus

Just love the chorus effect, have owned Ibanez and Boss pedals, but I keep coming back to the TC series.

Does your chorus pass its fizzy-cle? Corona does!

A very versatile Chorus pedal from the Danes. Tone print custom tones makes this a unique offering in its class. Very capable all round good pedal.
