Critic Reviews

Universal Audio Apollo Twin X review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X delivers exceptional sound quality and a robust build, making it a strong contender for serious guitar recording. However, its convoluted installation process and high price may deter casual users seeking straightforward solutions. While professional features shine, they could be excessive for home recordists wanting simplicity. Ultimately, it’s a premium option worth considering if you’re ready to invest in complex setups; otherwise, simpler alternatives might suffice.

Universal Audio Apollo Twin X review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X is a standout audio interface that expertly mimics an analogue workflow, delivering remarkable Unison preamp quality and a wealth of bundled plugins. Its intuitive design and solid build make it a joy for producers. However, the installation process can be a headache, especially for Apple silicon users, and the absence of a Thunderbolt cable feels like a missed opportunity for such a premium product. Overall, its performance and features are compelling, but potential buyers should be prepared for some inconveniences.

Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Review: One Of The Best Audio Interfaces For Serious Producers

magneticmag.com

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X stands out for its superior sound quality and user-friendly design, making it a top choice for serious producers. With impressive 24-bit/192 kHz audio conversion and real-time processing capabilities, it delivers professional-grade performance in a compact package. However, be prepared for additional costs as many UAD plugins come at a price, and the absence of a Thunderbolt cable in the box can be an inconvenience. While the interface is powerful, achieving great results still requires skill and knowledge from the user. Overall, the Apollo Twin X is a strong contender for those looking to elevate their audio production, but it’s not an entry-level option.

Awesome Interface and Monitor Controller!

I’ve had the Apollo Quad for about a year now and I do have to say I’m satisfied. Works well with SoundID Refrence (UAD Console Add-On), however I am disappointed there isn’t any MIDI In/Outs like the Scarlet 4i4 has!
