Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 Review - Tiny Yet Mighty!

cigilovic.com

The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 stands out as an affordable and reliable solution for powering your guitar pedals. With four outputs delivering 1000mA total, it easily handles the needs of most standard pedals without generating unwanted noise. Its compact size and light weight make it a convenient choice for any pedalboard. However, it lacks the versatility of higher-end models that offer 12V or 18V outputs, which may be a limitation for some users. Overall, it's a solid investment for those starting out or looking to simplify their setup, earning strong recommendations for its performance and design.

Reviewed: Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 Isolated Power Supply and X4 Expander - Mixdown Magazine

mixdownmag.com.au

The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 shines as a compact and versatile power solution for gigging musicians, providing clean, isolated power for multiple pedals without introducing noise. Its lightweight aluminum chassis and small footprint make it a breeze to mount under pedalboards, especially in tight setups. However, it does have some drawbacks, including the lack of a fifth link cable in the expander kit and the requirement for a specific power source, which could limit flexibility in certain setups. Despite these minor inconveniences, the X4 is a solid investment for serious players needing reliable performance on stage.

Works

I’ve owned a couple of these over the years, only had to get a second one cause I sold the first when going digital for a period. 4 pedal slots doesn’t seem like a lot but if you’re like me and don’t have a use for tons of pedals it reliably gets the job done at a good price. Also very low profile and can fit underneath even the smallest pedal boards.
