In a YouTube video titled "Analog Mixing & Jonathan Wilson's Home Studio" by Warren Huart on Produce Like A Pro, Jonathan Wilson discusses the gear in his studio, including his Yamaha DX1 FM Synthesizer.
Michael W. Smith is confirmed to have used the Yamaha DX1 FM Synthesizer frequently during the 1980s, as evidenced by its appearance at the 2:48 mark in a 1985 concert video, uploaded by Smitty Fan on YouTube under the title "Michael W. Smith - In Concert 1985."
Ian Stanley of Tears for Fears is shown using the Yamaha DX1 FM Synthesizer in the YouTube video "Tears For Fears DX1 Heritage Synth Restoration" by Behringer.
