Yamaha PSR-E363 review: Should It Be Your First Keyboard?

pianodreamers.com

The Yamaha PSR EW300 is a mixed bag, offering a decent array of sounds and robust accompaniment features for beginners, but it's held back by subpar key quality and limited polyphony. While its 76 keys are a plus for those seeking more range, the unweighted keys can feel mushy, making dynamic control frustratingly difficult. The built-in sounds are good for the price, but they don't match dedicated pianos in realism. With just 48-note polyphony, players may find themselves hitting sound limits when layering voices or using accompaniment features. It serves as a solid entry-level option, but alternatives like the Casio CT-S300 may provide better value for those focused primarily on piano practice.

Yamaha PSR-EW300 Review - Digital Piano Reviews 2020

digitalpianoreview.com

The Yamaha PSR EW300 is a solid entry-level keyboard, boasting 76 touch-sensitive keys and an impressive array of 574 instrument voices. Its user-friendly design and portability make it a practical choice for beginners and casual players alike. However, the lack of weighted keys and limited sound range may leave more serious musicians wanting, as it doesn’t cater well to those transitioning to acoustic pianos. While it excels in quality and affordability, advanced players might find its features restrictive. The PSR EW300 is an excellent starter instrument, but it’s essential to recognize its limitations for long-term use.
