Behringer LM Drum: Is the LinnDrum Clone Really That Great? Available Again & Review! - gearnews.com

gearnews.com

The Behringer LM Drum impresses with its nostalgic homage to the LinnDrum, blending classic 8/12-bit sounds with modern features. With 109 authentic drum sounds and a 64-step sequencer, it caters to both retro enthusiasts and contemporary producers. While the solid construction and intuitive interface are notable, some knobs feel a bit "wobbly". The sound quality is commendable, offering the quintessential 1980s punch. Connectivity options are robust, making it versatile for studio and live settings. Despite minor design and functionality drawbacks, its price and performance ratio make it a compelling choice for those seeking vintage vibes with modern flexibility.

Behringer channels the classic LinnDrum drum machine with the new LM drum

musictech.com

Behringer’s LM Drum pays homage to the classic LinnDrum, offering a nostalgic yet modern twist with its 8/12-bit sampling engine and 100 preset 80s drum sounds. While it impresses with features like 16-voice architecture, a 64-step sequencer, and 16 analog outputs, it doesn’t quite stand out as a game-changer. The integrated FX bus and sample recording capabilities add versatility, but the LM Drum feels more like a solid throwback rather than a revolutionary update. For those seeking vintage vibes with a touch of modern functionality, it’s a decent pick, but don’t expect it to break new ground.
