Critic Reviews

FV-50H Volume Pedal Review: However, I don't think this exact pedal would be the one... | Boss | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Boss FV-50H Volume Pedal stands out for its ease of use, making it a straightforward choice for musicians seeking simplicity. However, it falls short in durability, with its plastic build raising concerns about long-term reliability. The pedal's "Minimum Volume" knob offers limited range, which may disappoint users looking for noticeable volume shifts. While the FV-50H competes well against some rivals, like the Dunlop, it struggles to match the performance of higher-end options. For those with passive pickups, it's a viable choice, but exploring alternatives like the Ernie Ball or higher-end Boss models might be worthwhile for those seeking more robust performance.

It Do the Job

Solid, cheap, works well what else..... It took me a long time to discover the usefulness of a volume pedal; it wasn't punk enough when I was young.... Eventually, with time, I figured it out.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I love to use it for swells and noisy soundscapes

Does what its meant to do. Straight forward

For BOSS the plastic case, for me was a bit strange but without arguing about how technical it can be... It does the job, plain and simple.
