Catalinbread Fuzzrite is a faithful reissue of the renowned 1960s Mosrite Fuzzrite fuzz pedal, a raw and unapologetic device that delivers a distinctive vintage grit. This modern version is a collaborative effort between Catalinbread and the Moseley estate, preserving the original's brutish character while adding improved ergonomics and modern reliability.
The Fuzzrite retains the original's two control setup: Volume and Depth. The Volume control facilitates anything from subdued levels to intense overdrive, adding body to the fuzz. On the other hand, the Depth knob lets you blend in a second silicon transistor gain stage with the first, allowing you to swing from fat clean tones to aggressive saturation that could, as they say, "eat your face off."
Catalinbread, known for creating gear that inspires musicians to play, has ensured this pedal maintains the same explosive garage grit as the original. It's built to last with an all-metal chassis and is powered by either a 9V battery or a 9V DC adapter (neither included).

My Holy Grail of Fuzz (or Gimmicky but Fun)
After first hearing The Stooges more than half a decade ago, I have finally found my coveted vintage fuzz. Always works great on stuff by The Stones and others. Absolutely phenomenal little pedal.
I will say that this is an incredibly niche pedal built to emulate a very specific tone. The best way I can describe on this fuzz maxed out is “shrill” and “nasal.” Works wonders on songs where fuzz was in its infancy but not as versatile as a Big Muff or even a Swollen Pickle.
It’s definitely much more of a lead guitar pedal than it is a rhythm guitar pedal. This pedal is more or less like coffee; you either like it or you don’t.

I had an original and sold it for a big profit when I purged my collection. I told myself it was only good for iron butterfly covers but I missed it. It has a sitar like quality at certain settings that no other fuzz captures. Catalinbread nailed this fuzz. its perfect.
amendment: if this is your only fuzz you either are going for something really specific or you misfired, for a person with a drawer full of interesting inspiration pedals this is a good addition and 5 stars as it nails the real one

Not really sure
Just be aware that it's a razor kind of sound, not really versatile. You lose all your low end, so you have to deal with that.
It's an aquired taste
I have the 2016 update of this pedal. It's a great sounding fuzz but the sound is a specific fuzz sound. Does the "Satisfaction" sound. Very 60's sounding. While there are only two knobs, the Depth knob can really change the sound.
