The "Clue's Breaker" overdrive from your pals Drew and Aida at Daddy Daughter Pedal Works!

this one is based on the famous Blues Breaker originally from Marshall. We've tweaked a few things and added a couple of our favorite mods to this circuit. The tone control has been tuned to give what we believe to be a very forgiving range for almost any guitar/pickup combination. When rolled all the way down, it doesn't quite have that "wet blanket on the amp" kind of thing going on. And when maxed out it doesn't quite have that "ice pick to the ears" kind of shrill harshness.

We've also added two toggles which allow for a lot of flexibility when shaping the kind of overdrive sound you're after. The "clip" toggle selects between soft clipping in the down position, hard clipping in the up position and no clipping/diode lift in the center position.

The "gain" toggle selects between low and high gain settings. While this is still noticeable with the clipping toggle in the center position, it's a little more pronounced in the soft or hard position. This is because switching to the high gain mode, the clipping diodes will clip a lot sooner and give you a little more crunch.

You can go from an almost clean kind of boost with the the drive set low, no clipping diodes, the low gain setting and the drive control rolled down a bit.

Or you can go with a pretty aggressive sound with soft or hard clipping, high gain mode and the drive control cranked.

And of course, you have all of the options in between!
