Not your standard wah
It doesn't get vintage tone, but it has great setup and once you've dialed it with the trims, it has some great sounds. If you're looking for classic wah, this isn't the pedal you want, go get a crybaby or Vox like everyone else. Thing is built like a brick, I've had it for nearly 30 years and it's still strong as an ox. Bonus points for clicking on in heel down position.

Better than I remember
I re-purchased this off Reverb after I restarted playing guitar in earnest. I had an original from 1991 to 1994 or so. It sounds better than the other wah pedals I have played.

This is a nice pedal to mess around with but overall in my opinion its a cheap sound, strong pedal, cheap sound.

bullet-proof!
this little thing is solid as a rock, adjustable wah and sweep amount via trimpots. only a 3* wah, but adding in the volume function and voltage control raises it to a 4* device.

"It’s really more aggressive on the top end. It’s not throwback sounding—it’s not like a ’60s sound at all. It sounds modern. I use it as a filter. I set it and don’t mess with it."

PROVENANCE From the Collection of Ronnie Montrose
Bortnick’s tone, “goes into DOD FX 17 Wah/Volume. Almost no one uses these things. Everyone thinks they suck, but I like them. I like it because you turn it on in the down position rather than the treble position. That's one of the reasons I like it. But I also think it sounds kinda cool. It sounds different than a Cry Baby. It's kind of not as dramatic or something,” (18:02)
