Equipboard's Expert Review

Capable Compact Delay Pedal
In our continual search for affordable yet reliable gear, we decided to put the Donner Yellow Fall under the microscope. This compact delay pedal has garnered a lot of attention, and we were eager to see if it lives up to the hype.
First off, the build quality impressed us. The Yellow Fall's sturdy and rugged design is reassuring. It’s compact enough to fit into any pedalboard without sacrificing durability. However, the pedal switch's "click" can be a bit jarring, and the lack of white markings on the knobs makes adjustments less intuitive on dimly lit stages. The rubber bottom also isn't the best for Velcro use on pedalboards, which may be a hassle for some.
The controls are simple and intuitive, with time, echo, and feedback knobs offering a range of delay effects. However, we noticed that the pots don’t react until about the 8 o'clock position, which limits fine-tuning.
Sound-wise, the Yellow Fall delivers impressive quality for its price. It shines with delay and slapback effects, producing a clear and pleasing sound. Despite being digital, it does a commendable job emulating analog delay.
Bottom line, the Donner Yellow Fall offers great value for budget-conscious musicians looking for a reliable and compact delay pedal. It’s best suited for players who want straightforward, effective delay effects without breaking the bank. However, those requiring precise adjustments or utilizing it for professional recordings might find its limitations frustrating.

Mind-blowing analog delay with explosive Feedback knob.
Donner Yellow Fall is a super powerful analog delay pedal that must be carefully controlled. I just about blew the roof off the Guitar Center store when I was testing it. Terrific addition to my synthesizer gear.
