Les Paul Special II GT Review | Epiphone | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Epiphone Les Paul Special II GT impresses with its affordability and classic Les Paul design but stumbles with inconsistent build quality. While its mahogany body and Tune-O-Matic bridge are noteworthy for the price, the guitar may require adjustments out of the box. It offers versatile tones and is suitable for beginners or budget-conscious players, yet reliability and durability concerns suggest it's not for those seeking a long-term investment.

good enough for the price

I used to have a Fender Strat Squire II growing up, but was frustrated with what seemed like a lack of sustain. When I got older and suddenly found myself in the market for a new guitar after years without one at all, I found this guy used and it had much better sustain. Nothing that special about the guitar though - it was cheap, black, and had the sustain I wanted, so I went for it. Someday I will upgrade to something nicer.
