Description
The Epiphone SG Standard is a tribute to rock music's legacy, delivering the iconic sound and style that powered the first generation of hard rock and heavy metal bands. It captures the essence of the legendary 1960s classic, with an all-mahogany body and neck that contribute to a warm, resonant tone. The Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers offer the grit and growl that hard rock and heavy metal enthusiasts will appreciate.
This guitar's timeless "batwing" pickguard and fast-playing neck give it a classic look and feel. The solid mahogany body and SlimTaper mahogany neck provide depth, richness, and sustain. Mahogany's dense grain enhances the guitar's resonance, giving chords complex harmonics and lead lines a singing sustain. The 22-fret Indian laurel fretboard allows for easy navigation through solos.
The Alnico Classic PRO humbucking pickups deliver the output and overdrive rock players crave. The neck pickup provides a warm, rounded tone perfect for complex chords and emotive lead lines. The bridge pickup offers tighter bass and crisp highs, making it ideal for aggressive rhythm playing and searing solos.
The Epiphone SG Standard is a rock-solid instrument, featuring Grover Rotomatic tuners that keep it in tune, even during the most extreme performances. The Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece anchor the strings firmly, ensuring maximum resonance and sustain.
