The Wide Range humbucking pickups are a crucial component of this guitar's authentic sound, resurrecting the original CuNiFe magnets used in the 1972 Telecaster Thinline. A three-position blade switch lets you select pickups individually or combine them for a rich, layered sound.
Comfort is also a priority, with a fast-playing C-shaped maple neck and a 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets. Thoughtful recreation of a classic guitar
I play professionally and have been looking somewhat actively for a guitar with vintage Fender tone that I could use to in some new projects. I specifically wanted something that would shine with a touch of grit in a band setting and I was very curious to try actual CuNiFe pickups. My biggest obstacle in purchasing this was the price which if I hadn't been able to work out a deal would have been a deal breaker for me. The detail on this series is incredible. A handmade guitar, virtually flawless, that feels like it's been sitting in a time capsule for 50 years. The Wide-Range Humbuckers are everything I was hoping they would be and I can't put into words how pristine and articulate they are. The 7.25" radius worried me as I normally play guitars with radii closer to 12-16" but I am able to complete large bends further down the neck without fretting out. I'm excited to record with it soon.
