Fender Player Series Jaguar Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Fender's Player Series Jaguar in Tidepool is a savvy blend of vintage charm and modern practicality. The guitar impresses with its well-built body and neck, delivering complex, shimmery tones through a coil-tap humbucker. However, players may encounter the occasional issue with strings popping out of the redesigned saddles and rough fret ends, which detract from an otherwise solid performance. Despite these minor setbacks, the guitar offers significant value for its price, especially for those seeking budget-friendly offset tones with a vintage flair. Ideal for smaller-statured guitarists, it's a worthy contender in the Fender lineup.

Fender Player Jaguar review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Fender's Player Series Jaguar in Tidepool is a refined take on a classic, offering versatility with its HS pickup configuration. The Alnico 3 humbucker and Alnico 2 single coil provide a broad tonal range, with a particularly smooth playability thanks to its short scale and satin finish. The Mustang bridge is a welcome upgrade, addressing traditional issues with string popping. While the coil-split feature offers utility, its thin clean tones and lower output might not suit everyone. Despite this, the Jaguar excels in delivering gritty, distorted sounds, making it a great fit for those seeking a dynamic playing experience.

Fender Player Series Jaguar guitar review - The Gadgeteer

the-gadgeteer.com

The Fender Player Series Jaguar in Tidepool impresses with its vintage-inspired design, playability, and accessible price point. Its offset body and modern “C” neck shape offer comfort, while the versatile pickups ensure a broad tonal palette. The floating tremolo is a standout feature, enhancing playability without compromising tuning stability. However, the rear strap mount angle could be improved as it risks disengagement. Overall, this Jaguar is a great choice for those seeking classic Fender aesthetics and sound with modern enhancements. Perfect for both nostalgic players and newcomers drawn to its iconic style.

Cool grunge vibe

Overall guitar is great, the only thing that bothers me is bridge, it sometimes rings. I would recommend to switch it to the Tune-O-Matic style bridge. But other than that it’s a good guitar.
