A dream come true
Ever since I've known of their existence, I've been a fan of the sound of an SJ-200 or J-200. I have played a lot of 200's before finding mine. I went from local guitar shops to Denmark street vintage shops over international acoustic specialty shops. Every one I played seemed to sound different: used or new, good or bad shape, they all have their unique character. After years of searching and trying SJ's, I finally found the one for me: a well priced used one, 33 years old, not quite vintage yet. A beautiful natural SJ Standard that sounds exceptionally good. A guitar you fall asleep with on the bed. You can't stop playing it, because the sound and feel are so rewarding. What a contrast with my high end Yamaha FG. No comparison possible. The J-200 is a classic. It has a very balanced sound with good volume. Studio's are beautifully simple, but Standards add real abalone and fine craftsmanship on top. It is one of the few guitars that look good with all the baroque ornaments. That is personal taste of course. Mine didn't come with a pick-up. Not a problem because I only play at home. Also I'm not a fan of the acoustic piezo sound, I much prefer a good microphone to pick up the glorious sound.

It’s a ‘64 in Cherry Tea Burst
Alex Turner can be seen playing his Gibson J-200 Standard Acoustic-Electric during this acoustic performance of “Do I Wanna Know” off of their 5th studio LP AM in mid 2014. The guitar has been seen with Arctic Monkeys since acoustic sessions off of their second album.
Jamie Cook, the rhythm guitarist from Arctic Monkeys, has the exact same guitar as him and Alex played them guitar during an acoustic session in 2007. Alex seems to favor Gibson acoustic guitars, as he is almost seen exclusively playing them with a few exceptions.
He used this guitar in recording of "Wake Me Up When September Ends" - someone repainted it and added another pickguard to it. Visible at 12:44 into this video.

In this picture, George Harrison is playing a rare acoustic version with the capo on the 2nd fret of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in 1968 on a vintage Gibson Super Jumbo Sunburst guitar.

Noel Gallagher has used two Gibson J200 guitars in his career one being the Natural one he plays in the Wonderwall video (edited blue at points in the video), and the other being a Gibson Ronnie Wood Signature Series J200 (With the ornate pick guard replaced) seen at Sitting here in silence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKs8GMcB__U This is not to be confused with the Gibson J150 which Noel is often seen with which features the Adidas sticker and no binding on the neck. Noel also has the J150 in sunburst ( His older model) and a Natural model he has recently purchased.
The Edge discussed this guitar in this Guitar World interview:
"GW 'Love and Peace…Or Else' is a pretty cool track. What are you doing to get that sound right before the solo? It almost sounds like you’re underwater.
THE EDGE The whole track is going through a filter, so it’s not just the guitar part. Yeah, the idea was one of rising to the surface. When it came time for the solo, though, I was careful not to be cliché. Playing a bluesy solo is loaded with clichés. I ended up using an acoustic guitar with a slide.
GW That’s an acoustic?
THE EDGE I swear to you. I tried playing it with an electric and it sounded so off-the-shelf. But miking up the acoustic really made the part stand out in a jarring way.
GW What kind of acoustic is it?
THE EDGE I believe it was an old J-200 Gibson. Very cool sound. I’m pretty proud of that."
