Description
The Gretsch Country Classic is where elegance meets rock 'n' roll. This semi-hollowbody electric guitar has been a staple for musicians who crave that iconic Gretsch sound with a touch of sophistication. Its double cutaway design offers seamless access to higher frets, making it a versatile choice for both rhythm and lead playing. The guitar's 17-inch laminated maple body, complemented by open "F" holes, not only enhances its visual appeal but also enriches its acoustic resonance.
Equipped with twin High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups, the Country Classic delivers a balanced tone that ranges from warm and jazzy to bright and cutting, perfect for any genre. The Adjusto-matic bridge ensures precise intonation and stability, while the Gretsch by Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece offers the classic whammy bar effects that have defined countless hits.
A tribute to its roots, the Country Classic features a rock maple "action-flow" neck joined at the 18th fret, providing smooth playability and access to the upper registers. The gold-plated hardware and bound fingerboard add a touch of luxury, making this guitar not just an instrument, but a work of art. Better than a 335
My first proper guitar, bought because it was cheaper than an es335. I didn't mind as the Velvet Underground had something similar. It weighs almost as much as a piano & feels like one too. But it is wonderful.
