Description
A signature model for founding guitarist and producer for celebrated Christian rock band Hillsong UNITED, the G6136T-MGC comes in a bright white finish that should be familiar to fans of the Gretsch White Falcon. The fully hollow body build features a highly resonant solid Sitka spruce top, vintage 1959-style trestle bracing and laminated maple back and sides, leading to, as Gretsch puts it, “that classic big-body sound with incredible projection and rich, balanced tone.” Helping that tone project are two TV Jones TV Classic Filter’Trons, finished in gold along with the rest of the guitar’s hardware.

Michael began to use this guitar after his beloved 90’s White Falcon that he had been been using extensively for albums and touring was starting to need so much work that the repair tech even told him it was time to retire it or else it would be fully destroyed from touring. Michael reached out to Gretsch asking if they could replicate the guitar, so that he would have a guitar that played just like his beloved 90’s White Falcon, allowing him to tour with the same sound with less concern of tour damage. Gretsch partnered with him, and sent him numerous prototypes to review and evaluate, finally he decided on one and that specific one would become his signature White Falcon.
