Description
Dive into the realm of vintage aesthetics and modern sound with the Gretsch G2627T Streamliner Center Block 3-Pickup Cateye with Bigsby. A masterpiece that bridges the gap between the nostalgic twang of the past and the crisp, articulate tones required by today's musicians. This semi-hollowbody electric guitar isn't just a treat for the eyes with its sleek, double-cutaway design and cateye f-holes; it's a powerhouse of sound, thanks to the trio of Broad'Tron humbucking pickups.
At the core of the G2627T Streamliner lies its ability to produce the iconic Gretsch growl. The Broad'Tron pickups are the heartbeats of this instrument, offering a sound spectrum that spans from tight lows and crisp highs to a throaty, captivating midrange. Whether you're commanding the stage at high volumes or weaving through a complex studio mix, the lightweight spruce center block ensures that your tone is always front and center, eliminating feedback without sacrificing resonance.
The versatility of this guitar is unmatched. With a unique dual three-way pickup toggle switch setup and dedicated volume controls for each pickup, the G2627T gives you the reins to sculpt your sound. From thick, resonant tones to sharp, defined edges, your creativity is the only limit. The fast-playing laurel fingerboard and slim nato neck offer comfort and agility, making those extended jam sessions feel effortless.
Dressed in classic Gretsch style with a modern twist, this guitar boasts an arched laminated maple body, vintage-style controls, and an ever-so-smooth Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece. Play Blues? This will make you feel like BB King. Like to rock and roll? Chuck Berry. Feeling Funky? This guitar will make you sound like Jimmy Nolen. I work in a guitar shop, we get in a lot of different guitars including very expensive boutique ones. This guitar can easily hang with the big boys. It feels good to play and sounds great. I've played every style of music I could conjure up on this thing and it works perfectly for every single one. Best guitar purchase I've made.
