This wickedly unique guitar is the signature model of Rob Cavestany, a revered guitarist known for his complex arrangements and extraordinary fast fretwork with the thrash metal band, Death Angel.
This guitar's design, reminiscent of a sketch Rob made as a teenager, boasts an offset X-shape, providing not just an eye-catching look but also a comfortable playing experience. The through-body maple neck features a scarf joint and graphite-reinforcement rods, ensuring rock-solid stability and enhanced sustain.
For those who crave rapid-fire solos, the 12"-16" compound radius rosewood fingerboard is designed for furiously fast fretwork. It features 24 jumbo frets, black shark fin inlays, and Luminlay side dots. This guitar's heart lies in its pickups. Death Metal Machine
Solid guitar from Jackson. EMG 81 in bridge does the job. I never use the neck pickup, but it's there if you do. Personally I would have rather it only had the bridge pickup, but that is life. It comes with a Floyd Rose Special, and non stainless steel frets. Jackson is weird, because some cheaper models have a Floyd Rose 1000. Anyways I am only giving it 4 stars because of that, plus quality control issues. Like a loose toggle switch and some questionable solder work. I still really enjoy this guitar and think it is worth the money. The shape is extremely comfortable to play sitting or standing and it looks like an absolute monster.
