M-Audio BX5 D3 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The M-Audio BX5 D3 is a hidden gem for budget-conscious producers. With its compact design, robust build, and aesthetic appeal, it stands out in the crowded monitor market. The upgraded tweeter waveguide broadens the listening sweet spot, and the improved bi-amplification delivers powerful sound. While it lacks a high-frequency EQ control, the D3s compensate with their smooth top-end performance and versatile setup options. Despite some bass frequency issues, they offer reliable mixes, making them an excellent choice for small studios or home setups. Overall, these monitors are a notable upgrade in the BX5 line.

Amazing Clarity and Punch for their size

These have 3 settings to choose from on the back of the monitors, with optional flat,-2db, or -4db response settings that allow you to custom craft your monitoring experience. Blown away by the quality of these and by my comparison of HS5, KRK 5 and JBL 5s, these stand above them in a side by side test.
