Description

Positive is a low to high gain overdrive/distortion based on the 'vintage' hotcake circuit. GAIN controls the amount of distortion and ranges from a boost to almost fuzz territory. VOL acts as a master volume and the TONE switch changes between flat or mid scoop sound.

This pedal is true bypass and runs off the usual negative tip 9V DC adapter, requiring less than 25mA. On the current batch the LED is white. The color is a vintage cream with a hint of green. Think aged filing cabinet.

Montreal Assembly Positive review on pedal-of-the-day.com

pedal-of-the-day.com

The Montreal Assembly Positive Overdrive Distortion is a straightforward pedal that delivers a satisfying range of gritty tones and crunchy distortion. Its simple controls—Volume, Gain, and a Tone switch—make it user-friendly, allowing players to dial in anything from subtle overdrive to aggressive distortion. However, while the tonal variety is commendable, the review notes that the pedal lacks extensive documentation and online presence, which could leave some users wanting more clarity on its full capabilities. Ultimately, it’s a solid choice for those seeking a no-frills approach to overdrive, but it may not satisfy those looking for extensive features or support.
