Description

Lightweight and flexible with features for the hardworking professional DJ.

The HDJ-C70 professional on-ear headphones are intended for DJs who prefer a headset that is lightweight, extremely flexible, and can produce audio with more impactful bass and clear mid and high frequencies. The HDJ-C70 headphones sets themselves apart from other Pioneer HDJ offerings with the use of smaller, more compact ear cups, rotatable arms, interchangeable parts, and a minimalistic cosmetic look.

Sound Quality
The HDJ-C70 is fine-tuned for pro-DJ monitoring. Newly developed 40mm aperture driver units and neodymium magnets deliver outstanding resolution, accurately reproducing deep bass and clear low-to-medium frequencies. A copper cap in the pole piece part inside the unit and a 2,000mW input capacity eliminate distortion, even with the volume cranked up.

Sound Isolation
These headphones are also designed to help minimize loud background noise, often found in loud environments such as a DJ booth, by utilizing a special sound-isolation "air chamber" integrated into the housing of the earpiece. The innovative air chamber also helps to isolate low and mid frequencies resulting in better defined mid bass/mid range sound output. The ear pads use soft leather-type materials for a snug fit to enhance sound insulation.

Comfrort and Fit
The headband of the HDJ-C70 is made of a polyamide resin for maximum flexibility, withstanding the constant pulling and twisting of the headphones by users. The ear cup housing also utilizes a ridged rubber ring for easier gripping of the headphones and reduced chances of slipping.

For an ultra-comfortable fit and to conform to different head sizes, the ear cups of the HDJ-C70 are designed to move vertically along the slider arms, offering a total of 15 different positions. Furthermore, the slider arms can be rotated up to 90 degrees in each direction, providing the greatest flexibility for different styles of DJing.

The model incorporates soft, extremely comfortable low-resilience urethane memory foam ear pads to create a nice seal around the ears which also helps in reducing induced external sounds. The urethane memory pads are wrapped in soft black leather for maximum feel and extended comfort.

Interchangeable Parts
Furthermore, the HDJ-C70 features interchangeable parts for greater longevity. The headband, earpads, housing, cushion and cables can be removed and replaced (parts sold separately). The headphones are pre-installed with a 1.6m straight cord which but can also be swapped with an 1.0m curled cord (included). The cords have fine ribs to reduce tangling and noise from touching. A compact carrying pouch for added protection and convenience comes with the unit.

Pioneer HDJ-C70 Headphones Review - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

With a minimalist design and comfortable fit, the Pioneer HDJ-C70 headphones cater to today's DJs. They deliver clear highs, pronounced mids, and robust bass, making them ideal for dance music. However, they fall short in sound isolation compared to other models, and the volume can distort at high levels due to smaller drivers. The included coiled cable requires a mini screwdriver for swapping, which might be cumbersome for some. Despite these minor drawbacks, their durability, user-replaceable parts, and versatility for casual listening make them a worthy investment for $199.

Pioneer - HDJ-C70 · Tech Review ⟋ RA

ra.co

Pioneer's HDJ-C70 headphones impress with their sleek design and robust sound quality, particularly at high volumes, making them ideal for DJing. The refined bass and lack of distortion at loud settings are standout features. While the fit is snug and comfortable for long sessions, the high frequencies lack resolution at lower volumes, limiting their appeal for general listening. Versatile and affordably priced, they might not replace every DJ's favorite pair, but they present a formidable new contender in the booth. The HDJ-C70 could very well become a staple for DJs seeking quality on a budget.

Review: Pioneer HDJ-C70 Headphones | Juno Daily

juno.co.uk

The Pioneer HDJ-C70 headphones offer a commendable sound quality on par with the industry-standard Sennheiser HD25s, which is no small feat. However, while they boast a broad frequency range and durable design, they lack mic and smart controls, focusing solely on DJ use. The replaceable ear pads and cables are a plus, though the need for a screwdriver might deter some. While they don't quite dethrone the HD25s, they are a worthy contender for DJs seeking an alternative, albeit with minimal audible differences. They’re a solid choice, but might not sway die-hard Sennheiser fans.

Best headphones so far!

I have tried several brands and have finally landed on these. I thought my Beats by Dre Pro's were the best out there. After a lot of research, purchases and returns, I got these and haven't regretted it. They are as light as the HD25 II's but i like the lows much better. They can reproduce the full spectrum with tight bottom like the BBD Pro's without the enormous weight. By the way the BBD Pro's cracked in the headband and become dangerous after a while. These are about $199.00 most places. Looking for a pair of headphones that can travel from the studio, from the bedroom, to the gig and everywhere in between, go of these.

headphones

Actually they are the headphones i use to djing but there are a good second reference for testing tracks.

Son los cascos que uso para pinchar pero tambien son buenos para tener una segunda referencia a la hora de producir.

My main DJ headphones

After using Technics headphones for 13 years I thought it was time for a switch. And I didn't regret it. They have a brilliant sound, are light and fully replaceable!
