Critic Reviews

PreSonus Digimax LT

soundonsound.com

The PreSonus Digimax LT stands out with its solid mic preamps and ADAT connectivity, offering a straightforward way to expand your input options. Its stylish design and effective performance deliver clean, smooth sound, making it a step above many budget mixers. However, rear-panel connections can be cumbersome for frequent input changes, and the metering could be more intuitive. While not the cheapest option, it provides reliability and quality for those looking to enhance their ADAT-equipped setups.

Well built unit, which gets the job done.

I used this preamp to extend my Focusrite Saffire 24 DSP audio interface, before I switched my audio interface. This preamp did its job very well. It sounds good and the build quality is really good, also. Everything feels solid. No wobbly knobs. It is very convenient, that this unit has manual gain control knobs, LED meters, phantom power switch and 20dB pad switch for each individual channel. Though, the gain control LEDs are only 1 x green, 1x yellow and 1 x red per channel. This is something they could have improved. Other than that, a top unit, I can highly recommend.
