Critic Reviews

PreSonus AudioBox GO review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

PreSonus AudioBox Go is a compact, lightweight entry-level audio interface that's perfect for musicians on the move. Its simple plug-and-play operation and solid software bundle make it user-friendly, ideal for novices. However, while it's affordable and performs adequately, its plasticky build and limited gain options may deter more advanced users. Expect some limitations if you're using power-hungry microphones. Overall, it’s a great choice for casual recording needs, but serious producers might want to explore higher-end options.

PreSonus AudioBox GO audio interface review: A tidy tiny toolbox | Popular Science

popsci.com

PreSonus AudioBox Go stands out for its ultra-portability and solid sound quality, making it an excellent choice for musicians on the move. With high-resolution recording capabilities and a simple plug-and-play setup, it excels for solo projects or podcasting. However, its limited I/O options restrict multi-track recording and dynamic microphone performance, which may disappoint some users. While it lacks advanced features found in pricier interfaces, the AudioBox Go delivers competent audio fidelity that rivals more expensive models, making it a smart buy for those who prioritize portability over extensive functionality.

Its lightweight design and USB-C connectivity ensure hassle-free setup, with automatic recognition on devices. The interface shines with its clear audio output, phantom power for microphones, and compatibility with various DAWs. However, it may not cater to users needing extensive connectivity options, as it offers only a limited number of inputs and outputs. Overall, this compact device is a solid choice for musicians on the go, striking a balance between performance and convenience.

PreSonus AudioBox Go

soundonsound.com

The PreSonus AudioBox Go is a compact and affordable audio interface that excels in portability and basic functionality, making it ideal for casual recording. Its appealing features include a straightforward setup, decent audio quality, and a user-friendly design. However, it falls short with a lack of advanced features like on-screen monitoring and loopback capabilities, which many users might expect at this price point. The plastic build feels less robust, and the USB-C cable could be longer for better mobility. While it’s a solid choice for beginners or simple setups, those seeking more comprehensive features might want to consider other options in slightly higher price brackets.

The PreSonus AudioBox Go is a compact, lightweight audio interface that excels in portability and sound quality, making it an ideal choice for musicians on the move. Its solid XMAX-L preamp and phantom power capability enhance its versatility, allowing for quality recordings with condenser mics. Small and Pratic

The plug-and-play functionality is nice. I bought it to record on my Android device, as the product claims. It records to my phone's voice recorder, but it's disappointing that it doesn't record to mobile DAWs like Bandlab. So, I had to return it.
