Description
Seymour Duncan SH-4/TB-4 JB Model is a cornerstone of rock music, a humbucker pickup that has been delivering aggressive yet articulate tone for over four decades. This model is known for its balanced coil configuration which results in a harmonically rich, high-output sound with ideal sustain and distortion. It's a versatile performer, capable of searing leads as well as chunky rhythms.
The SH-4 JB Model is a hot pickup, designed to push your amp to its limits, yet it never sacrifices clarity or nuance. The notes produced have a clear definition and chime, chords have a crispness that lets complex voicings shine through. The low end is tight and powerful, the highs have snap and sizzle, and the mids are focused and vocal. This is a pickup for the players who want their tone to have impact and intensity, but also dimension and detail.
Apart from rock and metal, the SH-4 JB Model can handle a wide range of tones. When the gain and volume are dialed back, warm, sweet cleans emerge. Its articulate nature also provides note separation even at lower distortions, making it ideal for blues leads and crunchy classic rock.
Built to last, the SH-4 JB Model is handcrafted in Seymour Duncan's California factory. It features an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate and a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options. Its vacuum wax potting locks in the balanced coils to prevent unwanted noise and microphonics.
