Sony MDR-ZX110 Review - Great Sound Below $10

headphonesaddict.com

The Sony MDR-ZX110 headphones are a mixed bag. Priced under $10, they offer unexpectedly good sound quality with balanced audio and a slight mid-range boost, making them an excellent pick for casual listeners. However, their build quality is lackluster, featuring cheap, thin plastic that feels fragile and earpads that might not withstand regular use. While the foldable design adds some practicality, they lack any additional features like inline controls. Comfort is decent for short periods, but expect some ear warming. Overall, the MDR-ZX110 shines in sound for its price but falters in durability and additional functionality.

Sony MDR- ZX110 Headphones review: updated (2022)

audio.org

The Sony MDR-ZX110 headphones offer impressive sound quality and powerful bass at an unbeatable budget price. While the build is entirely plastic, leading to some creaking and discomfort during extended use, the durable, tangle-free wire and foldable design add convenience. The headphones excel in delivering clear vocals and rich bass, although the treble could be sharper. Despite limited padding, making them less comfortable for long sessions, they are a top choice for budget-conscious consumers seeking decent audio performance. Overall, the MDR-ZX110 stands out as a valuable, affordable option for everyday listening.

You pay for what you get.

These are like $15 headphones on Amazon or wherever you get them. I've been using them for a while. Personally, I think they sound fine -- there's no amazing amount of bass, and they're not the most sturdy thing in the world, but for how cheap they are, I think they work great. Obviously, if you can, buy something in the $100 range, but if you're on a very tight budget or just looking for something to casually compose, produce, or listen to music with, they're perfect.
