Excellent Value for Money
Excellent value for money!
I bought this guitar as my first one in mid-2023 and was very satisfied overall. The biggest highlight is definitely the P90 pickups, which deliver a beautiful clean tone and a rich, pleasing distortion. However, one thing that really bothered me was the noise when using high gain — it becomes quite noticeable and can get in the way, especially if you enjoy heavier tones or high-drive settings. In some videos I’ve seen, this issue didn’t seem as present, so it might vary from unit to unit.
Overall, it’s still an excellent guitar, especially considering its very affordable price. I’d even say it’s one of the best options in its category and would recommend it to both beginners and more experienced players.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Tone and Volume always fully open, Varitone always set to the 5th position. I usually keep the pickup selector in the upper position for clean tones, and switch it to the lower position when using distortion.

Great Budget guitar (UPDATE)
Great budget guitar, would be a fantastic first for someone. Needed a lot of work out of the box, replaced the tuners, nut, string tree's, saddles and had to do some fretwork and a full setup to get it playing awesome. Also the fretboard came in super dry, had to apply a couple of coats of lemon oil to get the natural look an feel of the rosewood. Also the stock pickups weren't that great even though I love the Varitone selector switch on here that gives those bad P90's a different feel. Despite these issues it is a really good guitar.

So this guitar has become my favorite/go to instrument. Like I said previously, she needed a lot of work out of the box. I replaced the P90's with some mini humbuckers, replaced the neck with a Fender Modern Player neck I pulled from an old project (Yes, those necks fit Tagima's) and she has turned into a monster player. Need to point out here that the routes kind of suck for this guitar. I had to shave and sand a huge segment of the body underneath the pickguard in order to fit the mini humbucker cables. Having more of a "swimming pool" route would have been better I think, especially for the tweakers and tinkerers out there. Any who, now the guitar rocks socks but it took a lot to get there. Out of the box she is still a good guitar for the price and a simple setup would make this guitar gig ready.
Well Built
I feel that this has been one of the best guitars I've ever had.
Perhaps it's just my impression, but the construction of this guitar has really helped me learn and play.
Being more objective, the construction of this instrument is quite good, the frets are well made and you don't feel like they're going to cut you when you run your hand over them.
I feel that the only thing that leaves something to be desired is the sound of the pickups, if they were clearer they would obviously be better and in general the electronics of this guitar leave a lot to be desired, but it gives it a particular tone that is quite good. Apart from the price here in Chile or second hand, it is a very valid option to choose.

Very satisfying guitar with terrible pickups
Tagima's Woodstock bass & guitars series tries to emulate Fender's Squier quality in guitar crafting. With similar woods but terrible pickups, the TW-61 model does a pretty good job. This model is inspired in the Jazzmaster, but with P90 pickups. Particularly, I changed it to Malagoli Custom 55 humbuckers. They're the brand's P. A. F. model, inspired in Gibson's semi-acoustic models, such as Gibson ES-335.
The guitar price has been raising over the last two years. When I bought it, it costed circa U$129/R$700/€109 and now the price is about U$240/R$1300/€202. They are still cheaper than the Squiers models, but as far as I'm concerned, outside Brazil, there are other models with a better price and similar quality.

Surpreendentemente boa
