Description

The AKG C451E came out after the AKG C451, and was AKG's first XLR SDC Microphone. C451, C451E, C451EB, C451B, etc, are all examples of the body/preamp themselves, and they can all accept a wide array of different capsules.

The most popular capsule for 451 Microphones are of course the CK1 Capsule which are their Cardioid capsules.

The AKG C451E can also employ screw on Tuchel adaptors, and screw in pads which go between the body/capsule. The AKG C451EB / B models for example employ their very own switchable pads, and low cut filters built into the mic.

The C451E microphone was first released in 1968, and the EB in 1969. Both the E, and EB can accept 9-52V phantom power.
