Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Ammoon AP-09 Nano Looper.

Software and compatibility

  • Connecting to a computer can brick the pedal; users report issues retrieving or loading loops, impacting functionality.

    Source
  • LooperSuite software versions 1.7 and 1.9 are difficult to find, and version 1.8 is specifically sought after for troubleshooting.

    Source

Features and functionality

  • The SD card version acts as a mass storage device but may have speed issues affecting loop smoothness.

    Source
  • Caution against updating the firmware due to risk of rendering the pedal inoperable; some users prefer avoiding USB connectivity entirely.

    Source
  • The pedal may add significant hiss, potentially linked to power supply or cable quality issues.

    Source

User experience

  • Some owners report high failure rates and suggest leaving the pedal unplugged for months to resolve issues.

    Source
  • New users find it useful for practicing timing, noting that any perceived lag might be due to their own rhythm rather than the pedal's performance.

    Source
  • Some owners have experienced a persistent red light error, with no easy fix found, complicating usage.

    Source

Comparisons

  • Owners recommend second-hand Ditto loopers over Ammoon for better reliability and fewer connectivity issues.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • Suitable for basic looping needs but not recommended for users needing reliable USB functionality.

    Source
  • Suitable for experimenting with pedal and amp settings by placing it early in the signal chain, and for practicing improvisation and lead playing when placed later.

    Source

Build quality

  • Recent design changes from onboard memory to SD card were intended to fix connectivity issues, with mixed results.

    Source
  • The pedal is praised for its weight and sturdiness, feeling heavy and well-made despite its compact size.

    Source

Setup and maintenance

  • Users report successful operation with a 500 mA power supply; a 200 mA output might be insufficient.

    Source

Other

  • Attempting to upload .wav files can lead to the pedal showing the first song as empty, even when using different software versions.

Loop basico

Opção boa e barata pra quem quer começar a se aventurar com loops mas não vai te ajudar muito se você pretende fazer algo mais complexo com ele

Good for the price/as a beginner

So, I was given this pedal as a gift and haven't used it for a long time because I did not have a proper effects chain and the pedal felt confusing at first. Lately I've been using it enough and I can say that it is a decent pedal for a beginner and for its price. Unfortunately, it's DAC is not it's best and you can hear the difference between the played part and the looped one. Also some controls still feel weird to me such as when I loop multiple layers.

Really good

I picked up mine at a mom and pop shop that has since closed down, I jammed with it a little bit in the store and got it for dirt cheap. I was comparing prices between loop pedals and this was like... 50 or 70 dollars? Surely beats 100 for a boss loop station. Sounds just as good too.

Faulty

Don't buy this looper. It will stop working after some downloading/uploading. Sure, it's a nice pedal... when it still working.

Decent Loop Pedal

Would recommend but if you can save the money get a Boss RC-3 way more worth it I still have yet to get one

smashiesmashie

Buy one. It's $35.

Cheap, completely manual, tiny. Records up to ten minutes. At worst, you want to check the switch after gigs, as mine seems to get loose after repeated kicking.
