Description

Lofi fuzzy overdrive based on the mic preamp drive circuit from the Radio Shack / Realistic Reverb Unit.

Forget overrated rich kid Tascams, the real mfs were using a cheap shitty Radio Shack reverb unit for their blown-out lofi fuzzy overdrive. If you know, you know.

The reverb (or more accurately slapback delay) sucked (it did, don’t pretend it didn’t), but when dimed, the mic preamp turned into a scuzzy opamp fuzz that is a secret sauce sound for some folks.

I owned one that I “circuit bent” until it no longer worked and I missed the gnarly drive sound so I thought I would turn it into a pedal. It sounds just how I remember it.

In true Audio Surplus Effects fashion, this has more available gain than the original unit and also a lot more output volume.

Power requirements - power by 9-18V DC centre negative power supply ONLY. Higher voltages will provide more headroom and less distortion.

Worldwide shipping available.

Please note, international orders may incur customs fees. Payment of these fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
