Good Value all in one solution for on the go

Very high quality build, feels really nice, super small and portable, really easy to use, doesnt take long to find your way around all the features and settings. Effects, Amp sims even choose "speaker size", EQ, edit your own patches, save them, name them and move them around. Adjust the signal chain of effects. Built in looper and tuner, headphones jack, AUX in, Powered by 4 AA batteries (really really short battery life!) or PSA adapter 240V (not included with the boss gt1-b!)

Can connect to computer via USB for accessing Boss Tone Studio, to manage patches, back them up, download others (theres not many), or for recording into a DAW.

Are the effects as good as individual pedals... very very close, but... NO. But hey... you get this whole unit, with all the effects you could possible need for bass, (plus extra, pretty useless stuff too, not gonna lie), plus all these other great features, all in a convenient package for the price of what you would spend normally for one individual pedal, maybe even less... but you're not getting garbage, you are getting a solid product!

Really, for what it is, its a STEAL... crazy value!! In that way, I wouldn't think twice about getting one

A Very Good Alternative to a Pedal Board.

I am not much of a "pedal guy". To go down that particular rabbit hole is something that I have never desired. But, I do want to add Compression and Delay to my bass. The BOSS GT-1B fits that bill and more, should one decide to.

Pros: Tons of effects. To my way of thinking this multi-effect processor has every "standard" pedal one can conceive of including; Graphic EQ, Octave, Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Tremolo, and more.

Well-built and tough. This will easily stand up to playing out in a gig situation and it looks good as well.

Reasonably priced. For the cost of two pedals, you get so much more and you don't need to mess with a bunch of patch cords.

Cons: The interface is not the easiest to navigate. The onboard LCD display is very small and can be difficult to read, especially if you have older eyeballs like I do. The downloadable software is much easier to use and should be had by anyone using this processor. It's free to download on the BOSS website.

In summary, if you do not want to invest tons of money into your signal chain, check out the GT-1B. I think, it will serve any bassist well for a long time.

Excellent sounds

Could be more intuitive, but sturdy and the stock sounds are great. Compressors particularly excellent.

This, I like!!

I've had two bass multi pedals in my day (Zoom 506ii & Boss ME-50B) before buying this one. I never really liked the multi effects thing because it was difficult to navigate on the fly and tweaking was and all day event. HOWEVER... I think Boss nailed it with this one. Being able to have a preset and then ad any and everything to it on the fly with the push of a button is awesome. I't does take some tinkering before you'll be happy, but once you get the swing of the controls, it is so easy to get what you want. I highly recommend this pedal P.S. - the octave sound on this thing kicks butt!

Awesome. The best and cheapest alternative to a full blown pedalboard.

Love all of the onboard effects, but heavy use of the expression pedal has shown that it's not balanced too well, so you may want to use an external expression pedal for fast use of wah/pitch bend. I do also wish there was a way to blend in a dry signal to the wah. No other complaints, the blending of the dry signal with any dirt is great.

It's decent for what it is

This is a cool, cheap alternative to effects pedals, though it's somewhat restrictive in terms of features and is pretty basic. I unfortunately destroyed mine at a gig, so I no longer have it but it was cool to have around and use.

A nice bass processor

I recently purchased this bass processor and loved it. It's a little confusing at first, but takes no time, especially editing tones/amps/cabs/etc by computer.
