Bowers & Wilkins P3 Portable Headphone/Headset Page 2 | Stereophile.com

stereophile.com

The Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones are a beautiful design let down by a significant sound issue. While aiming for a warm, bass-heavy experience, they end up muffled, with overpowering lower-mids that dull the overall clarity. The potential for great sound is evident, especially when the pads are removed, but the stock configuration sacrifices high frequencies, resulting in a closed-in feel. At $199, alternatives like the V-Moda M-80 are recommended for a more balanced listening experience. It’s a frustrating case of "so close, yet so far."

Bowers & Wilkins P3 review: Bowers & Wilkins P3 - CNET

cnet.com

The Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones blend striking design with solid sound quality, but they come with some drawbacks. While the lightweight, stylish build and included carrying case are appealing, the high price tag of $199.99 might deter budget-conscious buyers. The integrated remote's compatibility issues with non-Apple devices and some sound leakage from the open-back design are notable concerns. Although they deliver a well-balanced sound, audiophiles might find the P5 model offers a more refined experience for just a bit more cash. Overall, the P3 is an attractive option, but it’s not without its compromises, making it a mixed bag for potential buyers.

B&W P3 review | What Hi-Fi?

whathifi.com

The Bowers & Wilkins P3 headphones are a stylish and comfortable option with a warm sound that appeals to many listeners. However, while they impress with their clever design and decent sound isolation, they struggle against newer competitors that deliver greater detail. The overall experience is marred by a fit that could be improved, as the earpads may slide off during energetic use. Although the P3s shine in aesthetics and offer a pleasant listening experience, they may not be the best choice for those seeking top-tier performance in a crowded market.

If you make music and want to enjoy casual listening, this is the headphones for you.

Amongst all B&W headphones, this is the best and most balanced headphones from them besides the P9 Signature. Impressive sound for casual listening, and incredibly useful in mixing tracks for beginners that can afford this pair of headphones (slightly more expensive than the AirPods). Even though it is small and over-ear, it has a big sound nevertheless. It comes with a case so it's really convenient for travel if you're a big headphones guy. Overall, extremely satisfied.
