Description
The Caline CP-18 Orange Burst is an overdrive based on the well-known and widely-used Xotic BB Preamp. It features four control knobs - Gain, Treble, Volume, and Bass. Adjusting the Gain allows you to go from a subtle boost to a thick, creamy, fuzz-tinged overdrive. The Treble and Bass controls are a great way to cut and boost your frequencies even further. Combined, these controls allow for a substantial amount of versatility. The CP-18 is durably constructed and should live up to the pressures of gigging despite its low price.

I'll try anything once.
I bought this because it was cheap as dirt and very orange.
It's got a lot of volume on tap. Unity is at 9 o'clock.
I tried using it a few times, but it just doesn't ring my bell. It doesn't have any magic or inspiration for me. It has a lot of noise though!
The only reason to buy this is because it's cheap (and orange!) and you are curious. I can't imagine anyone with a budget or ears would aim for this intentionally.
A nice toy on a budget, but nothing you would choose if you had options.
excellent pedal
it does its job, having a gain control that can go from boost, through overdrive, and even distortion... my onlu problem with the pedal is being not having a battery compartment inside

BB-Preamp Clone
I've had this pedal for about a month now. So far, it is doing a pretty good job as a "transparent" OD. The jury is still out on this pedal for me, but so far, I am not complaining about it. The treble and bass controls are not flat at the 12 o'clock position, but with a little finagling the unity positions can be found (mine are 1 o'clock for treble, just under 3 o'clock for bass).

Worth the price.
I wanted a budget but effective transparent OD and after seeing the reviews of this £20 was a good investment. It's a direct Copy of an Xotic BB Preamp. And not a bad one at all

I don't know I would call any Xotic drives transparent, but ymmv... I personally gave my BB preamp to a friend for xmas because I thought it colored my sound in an undesireable way

I personally haven't actually used any of the Xotic pedals but the circuitry inside is identical except for some cheaper components being used. I in general use it just with a little bit of gain and it seems to hold up pretty well.
