The "Gainster" Overdrive/Boost Pedal

Add more gain to your guitar playing with minimal coloration to your signal. This pedal is designed to preserve the tone of your guitar and every nuance of your playing style while adding a convincing tweed-like growl.

Features:

Powder coat finish with hand painted graphics on each pedal.
Full size internal components.
Hand-wired, point to point on a premium fiberboard circuit card (just like my amps).

The Clark Gainster pedal, a collaboration between Clark Amplification and Barber Electronics, shines as a solid choice for those seeking transparency with their tone. Its three-knob configuration offers intuitive control over gain, level, and tone, making it ideal for live solos. While the pedal maintains the guitar and amp's original tone, it doesn't achieve full transparency but comes close. The white version has a bass adjustment pot, albeit inconveniently placed inside. Construction is robust, though the footswitch feels stiff initially. It performs best with low-gain pickups, offering a seamless transition in sound. Overall, a dependable pedal for preserving dynamics and enhancing solos.
