Dr. No Road Runner Fuzz Wah Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Dr. No's RoadRunner Octave Fuzz Wah Flying Machina is a pedal that screams personality and flair, both visually and sonically. This quirky stompbox, designed for bold rockers, delivers aggressive wah tones and an old-school octave fuzz with modern twists. Its standout features include three selectable wah ranges and a switchable octave, although you can't use the fuzz and wah separately or change their effect order. While it excels in creating over-the-top, dissonant tones, the lack of a volume boost and limited fuzz dynamics may be drawbacks for some. With a hefty price tag, this pedal is a niche delight for those who crave a unique stage presence and sonic mayhem.

“This is another great Dr. No pedal, the Road Runner,” Van Leeuwen states. “It’s a great-sounding wah with an octave fuzz, and in a very nice package. It has the fuzzy surface on it like those old Foxx pedals, too. It just does its thing. I used it on the song ‘Phantom Limb’ by Gone is Gone.”
