Fantastic sound!

I first bought a set of DR neon green stings about ten years ago, just to see if they looked and sounded any good. It turns out they sound great! My guitar playing friend thought they were a gimmick, up until he heard them. I have been using them consistently for about seven years. The sound is bright and crisp, and the lows are right where I need them to be. I use some UV LED PARs as part of my lights, and they really make the strings pop. I'm apparently the only bass player in the area who uses them, so people who don't know me any other way know of me as the guy with the green strings.

One thing to be aware of -- in low light situations, they can overwhelm your eyes to the point where you can't see your neck's side dots. My solution is fishing lure stickers. They're designed to catch and reflect light in very low-light situations, and they're perfect for me on stage. I have never lost my visual reference since I started using them.
