Description
The DR Strings DR Black Beauties Bass String Set brings together the best of both worlds - the robust durability of coated strings and the clarity and resonance of traditional strings. Handcrafted with precision, these strings are not just about aesthetics, they also offer superior performance.
The main highlight of these strings is the K3T Technology Coating. This proprietary coating, first of its kind, promises to deliver a tone that matches or even surpasses uncoated strings. This unique coating also extends the tonal life of the strings, offering protection against corrosion caused by humidity and perspiration. With less unwanted overtones, you can experience a greater volume, clarity and articulation in your music, making these strings a perfect addition to your bass guitar.
But the innovation doesn't stop there. Unlike machine-wound strings, these strings are wound by hand, ensuring a higher level of accuracy and reducing inconsistencies. This handcrafted process makes the DR Strings DR Black Beauties stand out from the crowd, offering unparalleled quality and performance.
Key Features: - Black coated with K3 Technology - Handmade for superior accuracy and reduced inconsistencies - Provides excellent intonation and bright, clear sound - Offers protection against corrosion due to humidity and perspiration - Medium gauge with strengths: .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046 - Round wound for added durability - Less unwanted overtones for better clarity and articulation.

At the DR Strings booth during Winter NAMM 2013, Geezer Butler endorses the DR Black Beauties Bass String Set.
In this video at 19:27, it is suggested that Steele used DR Black Beauty Bass strings on his instrument. There is a segment of footage shown from around 2007, where Steele can be seen preforming live with black-nylon strings on his Bass.
There is no way to tell if these strings were manufactured by DR, we can assume these were DR due to being one of the most notable brands to make black-nylon Bass strings at the time, however brands such as Rotosound (which Steele has been seen using) and La Bella have made black-nylon strings for Bass as well.
In this post on instagram Webster states that he is "loving #drstrings sweat resistant "black beauties" coated strings".
