"Joe is more into boost than he is distortions. A lot of people think that Joe is all loud and distorted, and that's not it at all. His setting is very clean. We use this Duesenberg Gold Boost which really does boost it about 15 db. That's a really good rhythmic boost for like the Strats, they kind of lift them up a little bit and kind of get them more in the mix," says Joe Perry's guitar tech.
