Emu Audity 2000

soundonsound.com

The E-MU Audity 2000 impresses with its advanced modulation capabilities and 16 arpeggiators, making it a programmer's dream. Its high-quality raw waveforms and digital output are standout features. However, its steep price tag and cramped display might deter some buyers. While its effects are basic and it lacks graphical editing software, the Audity 2000 offers immense sonic potential for those willing to invest time and money.

That 90's Rompler Style

I recently had the good luck to come across this rompler from a friend (THANKS DAVE!) at a very good price. I've always considered myself a knob kinda guy with synths and never even considered rack mounted sound modules as a means to expand my creative pallet. At this point in time while everyone is throwing themselves to wavetable synths, You can score any number of E-MU, Roland, Yamaha, ect.. for the $150-250, I've seen the Proteus Mk 1 go as cheap as 70-90 and fully functional. Very cool and can help you knock the dust out of any unused MIDI controller/sequencer you may have.

"The midi out of the TD10 and D Drum3, and Notron sequencer went into an MX8 midi patchbay, this allowed me the speed of direct analog input to the V & D brains, but the flexibility to route and merge anything via midi. Additional midi sound sources I used were the Alesis DM pro and an Emu Audity 2000 (the audity was never used on the record). I could also access my samplers, an old Kurzweil K2000 and a Roland S760, plus sounds in realtime from my beatboxs, an MC303 and a Tribe ER1. However for this Crim record no beatboxes were used. ProjeKct X is a different story....beatboxes survived!!!"
