This guitar is a great large body acoustic for playing live and recording. It's sound is warm and well defined, but not a classic singer-songwriter guitar, like a Martin. It has a bright sound and a very easy to play thin neck. Highly recommended.

Many times during this footage from the recording of The Hollies hit "On a Carousel", Graham Nash is seen playing his (now heavily customised) black 62/63 Epiphone Texan with double pickguards. The guitar was originally "cherryburst" as seen here at 0:45, before getting the "Hollies"-paintjob, as seen here at 0:40.
Graham Nash would extensively use it throughout his time with The Hollies up until he left and formed CSN and CSNY, in which he continues to use it extensively up until the 70s.
In this performance from 1968, Tony Hicks plays Graham Nash's customised Epiphone Texan. It is clearly seen at 0:45.
This customised Epiphone Texan belongd to Graham Nash as it is seen being played by him in numerous live/TV performances throughout 1967 and 1968. Tony would borrow this guitar for the Bobby Gentry show (video above), and would mime it to a backing track.
The guitar, a 1960 Gibson Epiphone Texan model, has been one of Case’s favorite guitars for many years, and was used extensively on her Fox Confessor album. She recently donated the guitar to Catamount Arts in support of the Northeast Kingdom regional arts center’s fundraising efforts. Paul Rigby and I used this a TON making “Fox Confessor”. I’m only putting it up for auction because I care so much about Catamount and I have enough guitars! It’s sounds and plays like honey. – Neko Case
