G-310 Review | Epiphone | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Epiphone G-310 earns high marks as a budget-friendly entry-level guitar, particularly shining for rock and metal genres. Its versatile pickups and solid design provide a commendable tone for mid-high gain music, making it a favorite for beginners and intermediate players alike. While it doesn't excel in finish or versatility for softer styles, it holds its ground in reliability and is a sound investment for those looking to dive into heavier music without breaking the bank. Overall, the G-310 is well-regarded for its price, offering a superb introduction to electric guitars.

the fucking Diavoletto

Bought it used in 2003. Jammed and gigged with it for a decade. So many songs written and recorded on this beast. One of my main guitars in the studio. I occasionally bring it up for little jams. Sounds perfect with the Orange Tiny Terror.

Not the best pickups ever made (zero attack and very muffled) but the guitar has its own vibe, it's heavy and solid, and very well made. Mine it's a 2000 MIJ. I've read somewhere these were the good ones. They kept the name but newer models seem toys in comparison. Mine still had the mother of pearl logo on the headstock and fretboard dot inlays, and the Gibson trussrod cover.

I also have a G-400 Pro and funnily enough they are opposites, you can't have two guitars more different from each other.

Super value entry SG

I'm only giving this 3 stars because this guitar is basic - but for what you pay for this you do get value. Fundamentally, the build quality is fine, but the hardware is cheap. I replaced everything on mine including the pickups, nut, switches and wiring and it is now one of my favourite playing guitars.
