Description
Unleash your inner shredder with the Epiphone Jeff Waters Annihilation II, a guitar crafted to embody the ferocious spirit of its namesake. Designed in collaboration with Jeff Waters, this Flying V showcases a sleek silhouette that has become synonymous with raw power and precision. Its solid Mahogany body is paired with a Phenolic fingerboard, offering a smooth playability that allows for both aggressive riffs and lightning-fast solos. The neck, crafted with a 1960's SlimTaper D profile, ensures comfort across all fretting positions, while the deep-set, bolted neck joint adds extra stability for those energetic performances.
At the heart of the Annihilation II are Epiphone's critically acclaimed ProBucker humbucker pickups. With a ProBucker 2 at the neck and a hotter ProBucker 3 at the bridge, these pickups deliver a dynamic range and clarity reminiscent of vintage tones. The addition of a KillPot switch empowers musicians to create classic stuttering effects, making this guitar not only powerful but also versatile.
Tuning and intonation are made easy with Grover Rotomatic machine heads and the LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge, ensuring your sound remains pitch-perfect, gig after gig. The Annihilation II doesn't just sound good—it feels good, thanks to a unique "non-slip shred grip" designed to keep the Flying V anchored during seated play.

Made a believer out of me.
On Jeff's website, he was selling one of his personal guitars. My credit card didn't have a high enough limit, so I came up with a plan. ANNIHILATOR was starting their cross Canada tour in Victoria BC, and I had tickets. I went to the venue around noon on the day of the concert, but the front doors were locked. So...I went around to the alley, and I could hear them doing soundcheck before I even got to the back door. I walked right in, and security came and asked me how they could help. I told them I wanted to buy a guitar off Jeff, and was hoping he would take a personal check? 10 minutes later, Jeff and I are standing in the back alley having a smoke, and I asked him if he would sell me his personal touring guitar, and would he take a personal cheque for it? Yes, and yes. Right fuckin on! After the cheque cleared, he sent me the guitar, along with a bunch of swag, a T-shirt, picks, cd's, posters, stickers, and certificate of authenticity, all signed. (now I got like a little Jeff Waters shrine happening) Plus, I've got the cancelled cheque with his signature on it. I've always been skeptical of Epiphone, but this is not a cheap foreign guitar, or at least it doesn't act like one. Intonation is spot on, tunes easy, great sustain, holds a tune, and feels great! THANKS JEFF!
Underrated Guitar
