Best with Fender Guitars
Being a Fender amp, it is kinda obvious it would work best with a Fender guitar. Although sometimes this isn't the case. I tried to use this with me Joan Jett Blackheart at a concert, and it sounded like I was out of tune a little. I don't know if it was the guitar or the amp, but overall this is a great amp!

were you using the overdrive feature or just turning the amp up until natural breakup occurred? these amps aren't big on headroom if you hit them with a hot humbucker, but the power-amp grind certainly spits out some odd order harmonics that might be what you were hearing... it amazes me that they are reissuing an amp that seems like it was a new model only yesterday, I mean, I guess its been 20 years or so since these were new, but with all the 50 and 60 year-old designs fender isn't reissuing its a bit of a bummer that they decided to re-release this readily-available 90s circuit. When is fender going to give us a tweed or brownface 2x10 super reissue?
Dude I feel you. A tweed reissue is needed in the music community.
