Description

The Vintage Pro 5D5 Wide Panel 18-Watt 1x15" Guitar Combo by Fender

Year: 1954-1955

The Fender Pro 5D5 Wide Panel is a rare early-1950s tweed-era combo amplifier produced around 1954–1955. It delivers about 18 watts of output through a single 15-inch speaker, giving it a large, full-bodied sound for its relatively low power rating. Built with a tube-driven 5D5 circuit, it is known for its warm cleans and early, musical breakup when pushed. The wide-panel tweed cabinet design represents one of Fender’s transitional pre–blackface amplifier eras. Its tone is often described as thick, punchy, and highly responsive, making it especially valued by vintage amp collectors and blues players.
