Description

The Fender Standard Telecaster HH is a formidable powerhouse for the modern guitarist seeking both versatility and classic style. This solid body electric guitar takes the iconic Telecaster DNA and injects it with a jolt of high-gain energy, perfect for players who love the Tele sound but crave a bit more punch. Swapping out the traditional single-coil setup for Blacktop open-coil humbuckers, this guitar provides a broad spectrum of tones—from the classic Tele twang to a rich, full-bodied roar. The coil-splitting push-pull switch adds another layer of flexibility, allowing players to seamlessly toggle between humbucker and single-coil sounds.

The player's experience is enhanced by a maple neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard, sculpted into a comfortable modern C-shape with a satin urethane finish. This design ensures smooth playability, whether you're laying down intricate solos or strumming powerful chords. The 9.5" radius fingerboard with medium jumbo frets makes it effortless to bend notes high up the neck without losing clarity or sustain.

Built with an alder body, the Fender Standard Telecaster HH not only looks stunning but also delivers a complexity of tones that can handle anything from country riffs to rock anthems. Whether you're on stage or in the studio, this guitar is built to perform and inspire.

Overall Great Guitar

This is a great guitar. I started out with a Squire Stratocaster and I wasn't a huge fan, but I was on a budget. I decided that I would upgrade this (and the amp I had with it) after a while of having the other guitar, and finally the time came. I did weeks of research and had finally decided on the Telecaster, I then did more research and found this. I loved it from the first play. I tried out some other rosewood Telecasters and liked them, so I ordered this. Right out of the box, I loved it.

I played it non-stop for a week and had no complaints, until a string broke. I was disappointed, but then I upgraded the strings to the Regular Slinky Nickel Wound. It felt even better than it did before. (I later discovered that the String Guide was turned incorrectly and snapped to strings, so check for that.)

It sounds amazing with both clean and distorted tones (I use the Orange Crush 35rt). The neck feels great (especially after changing the strings to a ten gauge). The controls work great. Other than the String Guide (Which just needed to be turned a little) and the strings (Which is just personal preference) I love it. I can't even imagine what else you would need in a guitar.

Great guitar

Play this as my main axe now. I replaced a lot of the hardware with all black hardware. Some planetwaves tuners, Dimarzio Titan pickups. She looks mean and sounds mean with some slight mods. The neck plays super nice and she handles drop tunings well with a good setup. So while off the shelf she wasn't exactly what I was looking for, the mods made her my main performance guitar now.

Ideal for what I do

Probably the most versatile guitar I could have bought, the coil tap on the middle pick up selector leads to heavenly cleans and when using humbuckers on the bridge you can get a heavy tone.

Great high output guitar

Very nice high output humbuckers. Has coil split to mimic single coil tones. Feels very nice.

This is the main guitar I'm using throughout the set. It's a '77 model - an original - and it feels like it's had some years played through it. It plays great, particularly for what I'm playing now, which is a lot more picky parts, with a bit more twang. I'm using this guitar on 'Stay With Me,' 'Loverboy,' 'Underdog'... I have, like, an 11-song run.
