Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Focusrite Saffire PRO 26 impresses with a robust set of features at a competitive price. It boasts an extensive I/O array, including ADAT connectivity, Thunderbolt compatibility, and high-quality preamps. The bundled software suite enhances its appeal, offering a wide range of plugins. The unit's design efficiently accommodates connections, avoiding the clutter typical of smaller interfaces. While it requires an adapter for Thunderbolt use, this is a minor drawback in an otherwise stellar package. Overall, the PRO 26 stands out as a versatile and cost-effective choice for musicians and producers.

Hands On with the Focusrite Saffire PRO 26 – The Noise Room

noiseroom.com

The Focusrite Saffire PRO 26 impresses with its solid build, portability, and professional sound quality thanks to its reliable preamps and flexible routing. It's a feature-rich interface with convenient details like input level displays and a Dim button, enhancing workflow. However, it falls short with non-rack-mountability and low headphone volume. Despite these drawbacks, its competitive pricing makes it a strong contender for those prioritizing functionality and value.

Easy to use interface

Anyone should be able to get a decent sound out of this interface. Personally, the firewire connection out dates it a bit too much for me to use it regularly. As far as using it as a mixer, it works great

"They’re a solid company with a very strong reputation. I used the Saffire Pro 26 and the ISA430MKII to record all of Elly’s vocals on the first La Roux album and they produced some quality results."
