Fulltone PlimSoul Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Fulltone PlimSoul delivers an impressive range of distortion, blending hard and soft clipping for versatile overdrive tones. Its handmade quality ensures durability, with a simple control set offering extensive tonal possibilities. The pedal shines in both single-coil and humbucker setups, providing everything from warm bluesy tones to aggressive, high-gain crunch. However, some may find the noise at higher gain settings off-putting, potentially necessitating a noise gate. Overall, the PlimSoul is a powerhouse for those seeking varied and rich distortion in one box, making it a valuable addition to any pedalboard.

Fultone Pilimsoul Blues sound

Heart of my sound, use it with 18v to have more dynamic range. With my strat, Blues pover solo, My setting is level 10 o'clock, Sustain 2 o'clock, Hi cut 3 o'clock. Stage 2 some times i blend in just a touch.

Dig the Sweet Spot

I really can soak in the sound from this pedal. It has a very narrow range of awesome in my setup, but I've found the sweet spot and it is a languid pot o' honey. Such a narrow range... having spent more time with this pedal, I rarely use it. Perhaps with another rig it would reach its full potential, but with my current setup, not so much. ~m

Fulltone PlimSoul

I was looking for a Jeff beck vibe in a pedal. The PlimSoul nailed it. Is touch sensitive, When using Single Coils or Humbucker pickups, Cleans up with the guitar's volume control. The Stage 2 to my ears is more like a blend for amount of gain with stage one.

Superb Overdrive and more!

Have had this for a couple of months and has been great to plug into any amplifier and can always dial in a great tone for blues, hard rock and everything else.
